An outbreak of a new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) was recorded in Wuhan in late December last year. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared it an international emergency, describing it as a complex epidemic.
Outside China, cases of infections were discovered on Monday in 30 countries, including Russia, the US, Italy, South Korea and Iran. To date, nearly 2,600 people have died in China, about 25,000 have recovered and the total number of people infected has risen to more than 77,000.
