African Champions, Super Eagles of Nigeria dropped one spot on the recently released FIFA rankings for men football. The rankings was released on Thursday, September 19, 2019.
Nigeria dropped from number 33 to 34 on the rankings after playing just one match in the last FIFA free window drawing 2-2 with Ukraine after going 2-0 ahead courtesy goals from Joe Aribo and Victor Osimhen.
Nigeria remains third in Africa with 1482 points behind Senegal (20) with 1546 points and Tunisia (29) with 1493 points.
Nigeria will next play with five (5) times world cup champions, Brazil on October 13, 2019 at the National Stadium of Singapore. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are also working towards making sure that the Super Eagles play one African team at the next FIFA free window.
Belgium remains the best male football team in the world ahead of world champions France and Brazil.
